Universell Utforming
A project with focus on accessibility. Universell utforming is going through changes and needed a new personality to go with it. Universell utforming often comes with a negative connotation and is often associated with boring design, little playfulness and restrictive regulation. In this project we worked on exploring how we could give UU a logo with a personality and a creative visual universe, without losing accessibility or appearing unprofessional.
In this identity it was crucial that all colors passed the contrast requirements of WCAG as well as choosing elements that did not cause too much distraction. The fonts in use are Hyperlegible next, which is developed by the Braille institute, specifically to be inclusive for people with lowered sight. The secondary font is Arial, which is per definition the words most literally accessible font and is avaliable on all computers and operative systems.
